For New Patients Our Ten-Point Dental Check-Up

Denplan is an excellent way of budgeting for dental care. This are monthly plan which give certain benefits towards the cost of maintaining your dental health by the University Dental Centre. Thre are two plans: Denplan Care ( comprehensive cover) and Denplan Essentials (maintenance cover). The only extra charges are making and materials charges for providing crowns, dentures, and bridges.

Here is a summary of what Denplan Care gives you:

• All routine check-ups, consultations, fillings, root fillings, X-Rays, and all other clinical time. However you will be liable for the materials and making costs of crowns etc., which typically is about £130 per crown (normal crown prices are £360).
  
  
• Any dental treatment needed in an emergency anywhere in the UK or overseas. There is an excess payable by you of £15 if the treatment is outside of normal surgery hours.
  
  
• Any dental treatment required after an accident or trauma upto £10,000. No excess payable.
  
  
• Additional cover for oral cancer and a cash benefit of £30 per night inpatient hospital admission for dental treatment.
  
  

The premiums depend upon the condition of your teeth on acceptance and will depend upon which band you fall into. Your dentist will advise on your premium after inspection. The patient must also be dentally fit on acceptance and have no immediate dental work necessary.

Denplan Care has an ongoing programme of audit and quality assurance of their dentists. This ensures that you receive the highest standard of dental care under the scheme.

The only extra charges are making and materials charges for providing crowns, dentures, and bridges.

Denplan Essentials is a maintenance plan for £11.50 per month, irrespective of the band your mouth falls into. The patient must also be dentally fit on acceptance and have no immediate dental work necessary. Benefits of Denplan Essentials are:

• All routine check-ups, consultations, scalings, hygienist visits and x-rays. However you will have to pay the cost of all other treatment BUT will receive a        discount of 10% off the normal private fee scale.
  
• Any dental treatment needed in an emergency anywhere in the UK or overseas. There is an excess payable by you of £15 if the treatment is outside of normal surgery hours.
  
  
• Any dental treatment required after an accident or trauma upto £10,000. No excess payable.
  
  
• Additional cover for oral cancer and a cash benefit of £30 per night inpatient hospital admission for dental treatment.
